Opportunity Overview

The Project Manager, Technical opportunity will join the Implementations team in the Costa Mesa, CA office. This role will be a key contributor to the team, guiding internal and external stakeholders with their strong communications, planning, and coordination skills throughout the life of the projects. Our Project Manager will be the voice of the Power Factors team to customers and their team, driving successful delivery.
The ideal candidate for this opportunity is someone that can work with multiple competing requirements to maintain the scope, schedule, and budget provided at the time of the customer hand-off from the sales team. You will also be able to identify and clearly communicate any project implementation variations during periodic external team meeting as the voice of our company. 


  • Planning and Resourcing (60%)
    • Review current and forecasted project work
    • Develop and manage work breakdown structure (WBS)
    • Assign and divert internal resources to support current workload
    • Identify required external resources (material and services)
    • Convey internal resource requirements to DevOps
    • Internal documentation library management
  • Communications Management (30%)
    • Customer meeting minutes
    • Clearly broadcast status, blockers, course correction updates
  • Internal Tool and Process Improvements (10%)
    • Provide input for value add opportunities
    • Scope functional requirements
    • Identify value add opportunities


Basic Qualifications
  • 3-8 years of technical project management experience
  • Experience managing software as a service (SaaS) implementation projects,
  • Manage full lifecycle software projects including planning, tracking, execution milestone management and project release
  • Managed remote development and implementation teams (preferred)
  • Knowledge of project management principles, practices and methodologies
  • Experience with engineering drawing and documentation review for requirements decomposition and gathering (i.e. electrical single lines)
  • Working knowledge of data systems and communications path of travel (preferred)
  • Project management certification: PMI, Prince, other formal training (Preferred)
  • Bachelors from an accredited university with a focus in STEM, business management, or project management
  • 2+ years experience in renewables industry
  • Intermediate MS Office and MS Project
  • Travel as necessary—approximately 10%

  • Clear communication to setting stakeholder expectations for hand-offs, reducing potential misses in understanding
  • Strong project tracking, capturing updates on current status noting controlled/uncontrolled project changes to control budget slippage
  • Macro planning for mirco updates keeping the high-level plan adhered to functional decomposition reducing deliverables to attainable goals to the right stakeholder.
