Payroll Analyst
REIG is looking for a detail oriented, system savvy customer-oriented Payroll and HRIS Analyst.  If you love data and are looking for a role that is far from boring and will provide you the opportunity to play a key role in our organization, then this just might be the job for you.
Job Responsibilities
  • Partner with line of business to enter and maintain accurate data and changes in HRIS/Payroll system.
  • Validate employee time, and process multiple payrolls weekly.
  • Process manual checks/deposits, off-cycle payroll runs and retroactive payments, processing electronic transfers to various accounts
  • Review payroll documentation for accuracy and make any necessary approved adjustments.
  • Load payroll data review computed wages and correct errors to ensure the accuracy of earnings. Ensure that all changes to payroll are processed correctly.
  • Respond to employee and management inquiries and requests regarding payroll and HRIS matters.
  • Work closely with Human Resources on all payroll related issues
  • Review and audit pay data entries, YTD totals, and file amendments
  • Fulfill wage garnishment requirements by completing forms; communicating with employees, adjusting payroll records, documenting and transmitting withholdings
  • Provides data for 401K Audits, Workman’s Comp Audits, 5500 Compliance Reporting and other requests
  • Run and prepare various payroll and General Ledger reports on a per pay period basis as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual basis and provides to Finance and Accounting
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information, as requested
  • Assist in the overall departmental needs and office-related responsibilities, i.e. data entry, filing, etc.
  • Play a lead role as a Superuser of the HRIS system, used to provide meaningful data, fully utilizing the available modules to provide key metrics and business insights to the organization.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting Preferred)
  • HRIS experience, PayCom or similar HRIS/Payroll System
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage confidential information professionally.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ business experience preferably in accounting and processing payroll in a HRIS system
  • Working knowledge of gross to net concepts, pre-tax deductions, post-tax deductions and taxes and ability to interpret legal court order documents for wage garnishment process
  • Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word) and advanced knowledge in Excel
  • Strong attention to detail with a high accuracy rate
  • Excellent written/verbal and time management skills required
  • Must be able to multitask and work under tight deadlines
  • Proactive, upbeat personality, team player with a professional demeanor
  • Polished, professional presence and outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Dependable, reliable and demonstrated strong work ethic
  • Possess a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Has a good understanding and knowledge of payroll processing, prevailing wage, tax calculations, and must understand all required federal and state payroll laws.
  • Limited Travel< 10% of the time
  • Normal Office Environment
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Frequently communicates with employees and customers
