The Senior Accountant is a critical member of the corporate accounting team, we are seeking an individual who thrives in a high growth business environment, and who will contribute to the strategic development of the organization. The Senior Accountant will perform all finance, accounting and reporting activities.  Including the monthly, quarterly and annual closing and reporting processes, document procedures, help to implement controls, and streamline financial systems.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage month-end close process
  • Prepare and review journal entries
  • Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain prepaid, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules
  • Balance intercompany activities and reconciliation
  • Make recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures
  • Prepare monthly financial statement consolidations
  • Perform analytical review of monthly operating results and variance analysis
  • Review monthly accruals and monitor operating results: job cost analysis
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting according to GAAP
  • Maintain ERP general ledger chart of account and mapping schedule
  • Create ad-hoc reports using Financial Force or other accounting software
  • Prepare sales tax filling and reconciliation
  • Support annual audit and help meet audit deadlines
  • Assisting with financial and tax audits
  • Provide support and guidance to Jr. Accountants
  • Assist in development and compliance of accounting procedures, systems, and practices. 
  • Provide support on ad-hoc projects as required

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting Preferred)
  • A minimum of 5 years of direct experience required
  • 5 years of experience working at a mid to large sized company
  • CPA highly preferred
Skills and Experience
  • Expertise in MS Excel, including advanced techniques including macros
  • Generate ad-hoc reports using MS Excel
  • Expertise with Financial Force or other accounting software at a mid to large sized company
  • Export data from accounting software, format reports and analyze and present data.
  • Mastery in Account Reconciliations: no hard-coded data and all input independently substantiated.
  • Strong process mindset: every task that is done more than once leads formalized process.
  • Knowledge of Payroll experience
  • Ability to multitask and deliver on a high volume of projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Team player, and able to coach junior members of the team

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, et.
  • Frequently communicates with employees and customers
