Power Factors is a bankable, scalable clean energy data platform. Our clients are industry-leading clean energy developers, financiers, operators, and asset owners. We collect data from utility, commercial, and residential-scale solar PV, wind, and energy storage sites, curate it, analyze it, and deliver it to our clients to enable them to make decisions and optimize their operations. Performance data drives automated processes to schedule and track site maintenance, increasing operational efficiency and reducing operations and management (O&M) costs to accelerate the adoption of clean energy.
Power Factors is looking for a .Net Back-End Software Developer for iot/cloud services to join our team to participate in the development of our new platform. As a developer, you will be part of a team of talented IT professionals and work on the design and implementation of an azure/big data platform in the Clean Energy industry. Using the latest technologies and cloud infrastructures, you will work toward offering the best platform to manage Clean Energy assets.
  • Participate in the Design, Development and Review of the application
  • Follow a rigorous development methodology
  • Implement and maintain the importance of software testing practices
  • Stay on top of the latest in server, database, app and development technology
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a developer
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Platform
  • Very good knowledge of .Net Framework (C#)
  • Work as a team
  • Productive, Motivated
  • Knowledge of Web Services (REST / JSON, OAUTH2)
  • Experience with Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, Storm, Hive, etc.)
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies
  • Familiar with Git
  • Bilingual (French/English) a plus
