SUMMARY

The Regional Field Service Manager, will be responsible for supervising a team of highly skilled electricians working in the field of renewable energy; specifically photovoltaic systems, electric vehicle charging stations, and energy storage systems. Applicant should be able to deliver high quality, consistent, and competent work and supervision in electrical maintenance activities in accordance with company/project requirements, standards, and procedures. Typical work includes, but is not limited to, full system commissioning, preventative/corrective maintenance, system performance evaluation and troubleshooting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position entails the following responsibilities; including, but not limited to:
  • Supervise a team of field technicians, and electricians
  • Provide training to field personnel on complex issues as needed, including:
    • Performing electrical, mechanical, and networking system maintenance and repairs
    • Commissioning PV systems, including but not limited to; insulation testing (megger testing), I-V curve testing, thermal imagery, torque tests and performance evaluations
    • Performing PV module, inverter, tracker, and data monitoring system maintenance and repairs
    • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on PV solar, electric vehicle charging stations, and electrical energy storage systems.
  • Conduct site safety assessments and identify all safety hazards on job-site, lead daily safety meetings, properly fill out JHA & LOTO documentation
  • Ensure that personnel are always working in a safe manner
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with NEC requirements & industry best practices
  • Utilize a cloud based service ticketing platform to schedule and monitor your team’s activities
  • Coordinate with MaxGen planning team to ensure efficient scheduling & dispatch
  • Communicate with internal and external customers as required
  • Generate service specific reports using Microsoft Word and Excel to present to the customer as a professional document
  • Other duties as assigned


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:
  • High school Graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent training
  • CA State Certified Electrician (Journeyman level)
 
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • New Jersey State Electrical Contractor


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Current, clean driver’s license
  • Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code and electrical Best Practices
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and industry specific applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal direct supervision
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Demonstrated track record of reliability, punctuality, and productivity
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Ability to adapt and comply with Company/Client requirements
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing, multi-cultural environment
  • Has a desire to learn and develop within the role
 
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
  • 25% of travel required
  • Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain & snow.
  • Job requires employee to have required tools with them at all times.
  • Perform work at various heights up to 50’, working from ladders, bucket trucks, scaffolding, catwalks, aerial lifts or other safe working platforms.
  • Work in restricted areas like trenches or switchgear rooms and infrequently like manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attic spaces, etc...
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat and safety glasses at all times. Each job site may be different, and must be accessed individually.
  • Repetitive use of legs, arms, hands and fingers
  • Able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, overtime and night shifts as required
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead
  • Lift 51 pounds
  • Constantly moving on your feet, all day long

  • Complete overhead work for full day’s assignments
  • Possess good vision (natural or corrected)
