The East Coast Business Development Manager will play a key role on the MaxGen Energy Services Sales Team.  This individual will drive revenue growth for the business focusing on large scale Utility and C&I solar services in the East Coast Region with emphasis on Financiers and Strategic portfolio aggregators in New York and Washington DC.  They must have an executive presence, be customer focused and have industry experience and an understanding of selling and structuring service offerings and be eligible for work with Government entities.

Job responsibilities
  • Curate high level relationships with Renewable Financiers and asset holders
  • Create sales proposals, reports and presentations to current and prospective customers.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of Company’s differentiated offerings and value
  • Be the face of the company working with senior executives and decision makers.
  • Contribute sales and marketing expertise to the training and development of the broader team. 
  • Recommend business development strategy and tactics to Company’s Leadership Team for incorporation into Company’s overall strategy and plan and execute.
  • Collaborate in customer facing activities that include interaction with existing customers, new business development, and others.
  • Drive business from first point of contact to close in a scalable and iterative way
  • Know how to create business opportunities where they are not necessarily obvious….be creative.
  • Be a process oriented team player.


Experience and Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent (proven execution experience may off-set)
  • 5 plus years’ experience in outside sales position
  • sales, marketing, and business development (preferably in the energy services industry)
  • Intermediate to Advanced computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Professional, confident, dependable, customer service oriented
  • Self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, detail oriented, and thorough
  • Highly organized and an expert when it comes to company's goals and needs
Other Skills:

Working Environment
  • Ability to travel as needed, 50% or more.
  • Normal Office Environment,
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment
  • Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc

  • Communicates in front of audiences or panels
