The company has a central operations center and a team of nation-wide highly-trained technicians to provide in-the-field O&M services for commercial, industrial, and utility customers and has a distinguished reputation for safety and performance.
The following responsibilities are not limited to:
  • Generating monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for customers
  • Employ and build upon existing processes and tools MaxGen uses for detecting and analyzing causes for solar plant under performance
  • Develop and employ processes and automated tools for detecting and analyzing adverse equipment trends impacting solar plant communications and production to include inverter fault, codes, alarms and internal temperature measurement when such data is accessible remotely
  • Automate analytical processes to the maximum extent possible to improve the accuracy and labor/cost efficiency for the analyses
  • Develop field troubleshooting/testing templates for inclusion in MaxGen’s work order for work request generation based on performance and equipment trending analysis results.
  • When applicable, interpret IR flyover reports and correlate with data analysis from ground testing and SCADA data to produce conclusions on causes for underperformance and make recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Develop and recommendation photovoltaic solar system availability and performance guarantee models that can be automated for calculation and reporting.
  • Develop and repair customized reports from databases to extract and collect data according to client or management needs
  • Communicate findings and results effectively to executive level roles
  • Review understand contracts and obligations related to solar plant reporting and performance analysis requirements
  • Become a subject matter expert in the reporting capabilities of MaxGen’s computerized work management system and support users in wider organization to fully utilize tools and process for the benefit of our clients
  • Present performance analysis and equipment trend analysis to MaxGen customers when requested by a MaxGen Client Services Manager.
  • Minimum 2 years analyzing photovoltaic solar plant performance
  • Working knowledge, use and interpretation of industry models and standards for estimating and measure photovoltaic solar system performance, e.g. PVsyt and ASTM 2848
  • Working knowledge and understanding of typical photovoltaic solar production equipment and sensors including central inverters, string inverters, photovoltaic modules (thin film and polycrystalline), irradiance sensors, and power meters
  • Experience pulling data from SCADA systems like GE, Wonderware and energy monitoring platforms like PowerFactors, Locus, AlsoEnergy
  • Familiarity
  • Expertise using excel to create and implement analytical models
  • Ability and to develop, implement and interpret statistical models applicable to photovoltaic system performance and equipment trending
  • Knowledge and use of software tools such as VBA, python and SQL, Power BI or Tablea is preferred.
  • 15 to 20% travel
  • Office and field environment (walking is required, lifting is not required)
  • Routine operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
