SUMMARY

This Vice President of Sales will be accountable for developing, driving, and implementing MaxGen’s sales strategy to ensure it is line with the company’s business and financial objectives.  The VP will develop, maintain and advance client relationships resulting in new contracts and added value for our customers.  In addition, they will be responsible for strategically assessing and prioritizing target markets and penetrating and/or growing MaxGen in those key markets.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The following responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Develop a market-driven sales strategy, including the identification of attractive markets and formulation of an execution strategy for successful penetration in those markets.
  • Direct and monitor short-term and long-range plans consistent with overall profit and growth objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts through collaboration with and support from operations, finance, and accounting and work with finance team to assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Leads development of sales strategies, win plans, and go/no-go decisions, working closely with operations throughout sales process.
  • Perform research on potential new markets and new clients and lead client contact to identify and prioritize potential markets and customers.
  • Prepare and implement business development action plans for targeted markets.
  • Successfully achieve all sales objectives and personal sales quotas.
  • Perform additional assignments as required by the operating needs of the company.
  • Position requires 50% or more travel.
 IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • 15-20 years of professional sales experience, focused on renewable energy O&M or EPC industries.
  • Experience and successful track record within the renewable energy, O&M or EPC Industries.
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
  • Experience in a complex contract management environment, negotiating large, sophisticated, long-term, performance-based systems sales and/or contracts.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills as reflected in an ability to develop deep customer relationships at all levels.
  • Experience managing, developing and mentoring winning, high performance teams.
