The Sales and Marketing Coordinator will play a key role on the MaxGen Energy Services Sales and Marketing Team.  As a member of this dynamic team, they will support and drive the processes that will enable this highly motivated team to succeed drive growth, and ensure we hit our revenue targets.  Working with the Sales Management Team, he/she will be responsible for coordinating and preparing the materials/bid packages needed to drive the sales process and generally supporting sales as their #1 priority.  In addition, He/She will engage to support MaxGen’s Marketing activities by coordinating shows, presentations, and various other media or online marketing events and requirements.  This is a development role with significant upward mobility and the potential for a long term sales career in a growing industry.  We expect the ideal candidate to be a solid team member, empowered to make decisions and directly contributing to the #1 independent service provider in the industry today.  

Job Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Support sales team and by coordinating resources, completing forms and bid packages and meeting directly with customers to drive opportunities to close.
  • Coordinate sales and marketing events, conferences and shows
  • Initiate lead generation to support business development efforts and goals.
  • Support sales funnel management via Salesforce and generate sales reports.
  • Partner with Business Development Leadership to identify ways to improve efficiency in workflow and streamline processes.
  • Expedite sales process by facilitating requests with appropriate internal groups, coordinating completion, and ensuring timely responses

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Associates degree with 5+ years work experience in sales or marketing.
Skills and Experience
  • Service attitude: clear, open and effective communication, flexible and open to ideas
  • Entrepreneurial nature: ability to take initiative with little or no direction, own, and prioritize projects from start to end, accountable for tracking all accounts and status
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with peers, sales team, and employees across organizational lines
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and tasks, and "get stuff done"
  • Professional presence, persuasion and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, and results-oriented professional
  • Active and engaged approach to online media and content
  • Computer Skills including the ability to work with Salesforce, Web Content, Blogs, etc.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience or interest in renewable energy
  • Experience working in fast paced, high growth organization preferred
  • Online Multi-media/content background

Working Environment
  • Travel may be required – 20% or less
  • Normal Office Environment
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
  • Frequently communicates with employees and customers
  • Externally interfaces directly with Customers and Industry organizations
