Software Support Specialist (Salesforce)
MaxGen Energy Services is looking for a talented Software Support Specialist to join our team at our office in Costa Mesa. The Software Support Specialist is a key team member in our Information Technology department and is responsible for supporting and ensuring data quality and integrity on the software platform environments used throughout the organizations. The Software Support Specialist is tasked with user account management, assisting with end-user support, data quality assurance, and creation of training and quick user guide documents for the various software platforms used throughout the organizations.
 
The Software Support Specialist works closely with the Director of Technology and Salesforce Administrator to assist with the implementation and support of the Salesforce platform and other software. This position will be in our offices in Costa Mesa, CA.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Salesforce implementation support for over 400 users and on-going support to end users
  • Salesforce data quality
  • User account management
  • Consolidation of duplicate records
  • Identify missing data and backfill as needed
  • Work independently & on multiple projects against deadlines in scope, on schedule and within budget
  • Support users with creation of Salesforce reports and dashboards
  • Create training and quick user guide documents for all supported software platforms
  • Manage security, users, roles, profiles, groups, queues and other SFDC setup options as necessary
  • Support and maintain the application environment and customer experience
  • Work with internal stakeholders (sales, operations, and accounting) to ensure that software configurations support business requirements.
  • Test and QA of enhancements/changes to software development
COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer software technology, computer science and database administration
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a software support role
  • Productive, Motivated
  • Self-managing; works unsupervised to deliver project assignments, in scope, on schedule
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge about computer applications are the basic skills required in a software support specialist. Along with these skills, the specialist must also possess some of the following key skills:
 
  • Knowledge of the Salesforce.com platform
  • Computer Software Technology
  • Expert communication skills, both verbal as well as written
