The Manager, Warranty Administration will play a key role in managing various warranty claims for our customers in support of the contractual obligations.  This positon will support solar generation facilities by processing and following through to disposition all warranty issues throughout the fleet. The Manager, Warranty Administration will be responsible for interpreting contract and OEM Warranty language for applicability to warranty claims for our diverse nationwide portfolio.  This position will work with vendors, subcontractors, and customers to resolve, report, and run all warranty claims to resolution.

Job Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Be the Single Point of Contact for all site Warranty Claims.
  • Process and track warranty claims.
  • Interpret contractual responsibility for claims.
  • Determine appropriate resources needed to support the claim working with O&M group equipment installers and original equipment suppliers (OEM).
  • Produce warranty related reports for internal and external communication
  • Track and ensure all Claims are dispositioned in a timely fashion.
  • Track MaxGen costs associated with claims.
  • Ensure WOs are created, updated and closed for all warranty claims processed
  • Work closely with the scheduling and monitoring teams to ensure warranty work is scheduled in a timely manner and any required outage notifications are made within the required time frame
  • Work closely with the site personnel to build a strong partnership
  • Work closely with subcontractors and vendors to ensure work is completed
  • Manage warranty claims as needed to support the Client Services Managers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

2-5 years’ experience in solar power generation with medium and high voltage systems.
Previous warranty or related experience
Degree in engineering or related field

Skills and Experience

Ideal Candidate will have:
  • Strong working knowledge of photovoltaic system design and construction.
  • Experience with operating utility or large commercial solar systems.
  • Ability to read and understand solar plant drawings, substation drawings, permits, and OEM manuals.
  • Experience in working with and interpreting contractual warranty language
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines and demanding clients.
  • Proficient within Microsoft environment: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written (English) communication skills.
  • Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Experience with SalesForce and related applications are a plus.

Working Environment
  • Travel may be required – Up to 25% as needed
  • Normal Office Environment
  • Routinely operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
  • Occasionally move about and between MaxGen offices for coordination with stakeholders
  • Frequently communicates with employees, stake holders and customers
