SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced manager with a solar/wind (preferred) or power plant technical background and sales contract experience to create and manage an efficient process for on-boarding executed operations and maintenance contracts that creates a positive experience transitioning the customer and MaxGen from the end of the sales process to commencement of operations and maintenance services.  The on-boarding process is to include obtaining customer deliverables specified in the contract for commencement of services, notification and communication of contractual obligations to field operations for services commencement, commence plant work and performance customer reporting requirements specified in the contract, provide the MaxGen accounting organization contractual requirements for invoicing and payment terms and then monitoring the establishment of the terms in MaxGen’s accounting system, notifying and monitoring the safety organization’s new customer on-boarding implementation and when applicable, hand-off to the Client Services organization for customer care.   Similarly create and manage a process for the termination phase of an operations and maintenance services contract.    
 

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 
The following responsibilities are not limited to:
Responsibilities
  • Hire and manage a staff MaxGen on-boarding employees and when needed for peak workloads, contractors.
  • Create and publish scalable processes, including flow charts, to support continuous on-boarding and off-boarding of MaxGen customer projects in the PFI service environment (a computerized operations and maintenance system used by MaxGen to generate customer reports, manage work and monitor the renewable site operations and performance).
  • Create and publish scalable processes, including flow charts, as needed to ensure a consistent and positive onboarding experience for both the customer and affected MaxGen organizations.
  • Create and publish key performance indicators for the executive staff to monitor and understand on-boarding and off boarding pipelines, and the health/progress of customers being on-boarded or off-boarded.
  • Provide on-boarding/off-boarding cost input during the sales RFP process; manage the on-boarding and off boarding activities to remain within approved budgets; and report on cost variances. 
  • Identify, define and sponsor changes to the PFI service product as needed to improve/streamline the on-boarding and off boarding processes.
  • Identify, define and when appropriate sponsor changes to the customer report creation and delivery processes to economize MaxGen labor for producing and providing reports and improve customer satisfaction with the delivered reports.
  • Establish and maintain a close and productive working relationship with Field Operations, Client Services, Reporting Services, Accounting and Safety.
  • Facilitate on-boarding and off-boarding meetings with stakeholders to track sales pipeline and new customer/project requirements and operations and maintenance contract terminations.
  • Become a subject matter expert in the application of MaxGen’s computerized work management system to MaxGen Services operations and maintenance business and train the customer on-boarding staff to the same level of expertise so the customer on-boarding staff can train and answer questions from other MaxGen Services employees.
  • Experience working with Sales Force.
 
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:
 
  • BS or BA degree
  • 2-5 years of renewables field operations and maintenance experience which may be substituted with similar power plant experience
  • 2 years managing people and initiatives affecting multiple organizations. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft office products and familiarity with a computer based work management system.
 
Preferred:
Solar power generation field operations and maintenance experience is preferred but wind power generation field operations and maintenance experience is acceptable.
 
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
 
Ideal Candidate will have:
  • A background creating and managing organizational processes for producing a desired outcome from multiple business departments.
  • A good understanding of solar or wind power generation site design and operations and common preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Familiarity and understanding of typical contracts for renewables operation and maintenance or Engineer, Procure, Construct (EPC) contracts.
  • Ability to work with different management styles and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing people and developing a team.
  • Ability to develop effective relationships at all levels of the organization and to influence positive outcomes;
  • Strong demonstrated leadership capabilities in a team environment.
  • Outstanding follow-through and ability to deliver on-time great results in tight deadlines.
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to quickly learn to use data base applications as they relate to the MaxGen Service operations and maintenance business and train others to an appropriate level of expertise in the use of MaxGen Energy Services computerized work management database.
  • Experience with SalesForce
 
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
  
Travel may be required – less than 15%
