JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The following responsibilities are not limited to:
  • Assist the Controller in producing accurate and timely financial statements ensuring data integrity and accuracy
  • Team lead for month end closing and financial reporting process including account analysis and reconciliation
  • Help to develop operational procedures and documentation of data flow
  • Help to develop system controls to ensure data integrity throughout the accounting department.
  • Assist and provide oversight with all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
  • Help maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
  • Assist with audit Coordination.
  • Help to oversee all financial and project/program accounting; ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with program budgets throughout the fund period; collate financial reporting materials
  • Help manage organizational cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the management team to continuously review and assess.
  • Help manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
  • Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment
  • May perform other projects and duties as assigned.
  • Lead strict and timely Account Reconciliation process.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in Accounting related roles
  • Expert skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP Systems required. Implementation experience preferred.
  • Strong common sense and ability to find work-around to keep making progress
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members
  • Experience in renewable energy and/or Services industry a plus.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Strong leadership skills required.
 
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
 
  • Travel may be required – less than 15%
  • Normal Office Environment
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
  • Frequently communicates with employees and customers
